Who: English Learner Leaders, Coordinators, TOSA, integrated and designated teachers
What: Through this series, work with other English Learner leaders fighting to ensure the voices of one of our most vulnerable populations get heard. Examine current practices, and share solutions with others in the field supporting English Learners. Become more intentional about our decisions to reimagine successful outcomes for EL students.
Participants Will:
- Gain clarity on why serving our multilingual students is a civil rights matter needing our highest sense of urgency
- Discover the power of leaning into our students’ experiences and how leveraging their voices can be used as a tool to influence the system that supports them
- Collectively unpack the obstacles educators face in these spaces and capture ways to continue to be mission-focused and student-centered to overcome these challenges
- Dive into resetting our mindset, leaving with rediscovered skills that help influence the current support system for multilingual learners
- Get access to a network of teachers, coordinators, and leaders who share common dilemmas in supporting multilingual students to discuss viable solutions to our current most pressing needs
